How it was made

FrameCall's Quality model made this video from one prompt, in one run, with no hand edits. The prompt, word for word:

A 22-second announcement for Print Day at Marrow Lane Press, our small riso and letterpress shop, that looks printed rather than rendered. Everything sits on warm cream paper with visible fibres and fine grain, and all the motion moves in small steps, about twelve new poses a second, so it feels made by hand. A blank sheet slides in under a roller. The teal layer prints first: a hand-drawn sun with long rays and a row of crooked shop rooftops, the lines boiling slightly as if each pose was redrawn. A beat later the roller passes again and the coral layer lands on top, clearly out of register, about the width of a pen stroke off, then shudders into place. 'PRINT DAY' stamps in letter by letter like wood type, each letter inked a little unevenly with speckles where the ink missed. Halftone dots fill the shadows of the rooftops. Then the sheet is pulled away and the next one is already underneath, and the posters riffle past like a flipbook, three more designs from the day, each in a different two-colour pair, mustard and blue, pink and green, black and red. The last sheet slides back to the teal and coral poster and a strip of masking tape slaps across the bottom with 'Saturday, 10 to 4, free to join' typed on it. Hold the finished poster completely still for the last 4 seconds, with only the paper grain shimmering. No glow, no corner text, nothing glossy.

FAQ

How do I use the Riso print day template?

Type what yours is for in the box (a business, an event, a song, a launch) and press Make mine. FrameCall opens the editor with this design and remakes it for your idea. Then keep chatting to change anything.

Do I need After Effects or any other software?

No. Everything runs in your browser, and you download an MP4.

Which sizes does it come in?

It is designed 16:9. Ask for another size in the editor and FrameCall lays it out again for the new frame.

Is it free?

Starting is free: new accounts get 100 credits, and a remake runs on the Fast tier, which costs the least. Free exports are 720p with a small framecall.com mark; any credit pack removes it and unlocks up to 4K.
